Kenneth Branagh and Anna Friel are nominated in the best actor and best actress categories at this year’s International Emmy Awards. Branagh is nominated for detective series “Wallander,” and Friel for her role in ITV and Netflix series “Marcella.”

Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”) and Televisa boss Emilio Azcárraga Jean are set to receive special awards at the International Emmys ceremony at the Hilton New York on November 20.

The coveted best drama category will be a four-way contest between projects from Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Norway with Matchbox Pictures’ “Wanted,” Globo telenovela “Justica,” Scandi noir “Mammon II,” and NHK’s “Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit,” getting the nominations.

Brazil’s Globo scooped the most nominations, and is up for awards in the TV movie, best drama, best telenovela, best actress, and best comedy categories. Japan’s NHK also registered strongly, featuring in five awards categories, while Fox fared well, and features in the best non-scripted, best actor, and best non-English prime time show sections.

“Every year, the world’s television community competes to be recognized on the International Emmys global stage,” said Bruce L. Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “We congratulate the Nominees for their outstanding achievements and for inspiring audiences worldwide with their creativity and talent.”
